Interventional Radiologist
Marios Agathangelou graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace Greece in July 2004. He became a Radiology Consultant in February 2015 after completing his residency at the Radiology Department of G.H.A. G. Gennimatas, Athens. He trained extensively in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. He gained his MSc Degree in Interventional Radiology in 2013.
Furthermore, he enhanced his expertise in Interventional Radiology Technics by obtaining fellowship training at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust, London, UK and at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Trust, London, UK. He also worked as a locum specialty doctor at Barts Health NHS Trust, London, UK.
He relocated to Cyprus and worked in the private sector as an Interventional Radiologist for two years. He moved back to Athens in 2018 and became the lead consultant of the Interventional Radiology Department at General Hospital «Asklepieio Voulas» where he remained for one year. Since January 2020 he was the Scientific Director of the Medical Imaging Department at Mediterraneo First Care. He is also an Interven2onal Radiologist at Mediterraneo Hospital.
He gained even more experience as an Interventional Radiologist by working at the Athens Naval Hospital from December 2019 un2l December 2020 and at G.H.A. “G. Gennimatas” from May 2021 un2l May 2022.
Marios Agathangelou is a member of the European Society of Interventional Radiology (CIRSE), a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), a member of the General Medical Council (GMC UK) and a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
