
Dr. Phanos Andreou graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2008. He obtained his specialty title in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2015 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki after six years of training at the Larnaca General Hospital and Nicosia General Hospital, as well as a Clinical Rotation at the Foot & Ankle Unit of the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
He underwent further training in foot and ankle surgery at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, between September 2019 and February 2020, under Mr Simon Hodkinson, Andrew Jowett, Irwin Lasrado, and Prem Moras. There, he gained experience in arthroscopic and open techniques for the correction of deformities, dysfunctions, and arthritis of the foot and ankle, as well as trauma to these areas.
From 2016 until 2025, he worked at the Limassol, Larnaca, and Nicosia General Hospitals, where he gained extensive experience in the management of orthopaedic trauma and focused intensively on his field of specialization, undertaking difficult cases from other public and private hospitals in Cyprus.
He attends conferences related to his specialization in foot and ankle almost without fail (BOFAS 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025), as well as general orthopaedics conferences in Cyprus, Greece, and the United Kingdom.
Within the framework of the Erasmus + continuing education program, he was sent for a Clinical Fellowship in May 2024 at the Humanitas San Pio X Hospital in Milan, with the main focus being training in total ankle replacement under Dr Federico Usuelli.
From March 2025, he is based at the Nicosia Polyclinic, where he aims to provide, in combination with a team of experienced associates, integrated and effective care to every patient.
Part of his daily medical practice includes the management of deformities of the big toe and other toes, the treatment of stiff or painful flatfoot and cavus foot in children and adults, ankle ligament injuries, arthritis, and other conditions.
