The Nicosia Polyclinic, a leading healthcare institution in the capital, is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Cleaner to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.
This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work within a patient-centric environment, contributing to a safe and sterile environment for departments in specialties including Maternity, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and others.
Job Description
Position: Cleaner (Καθαριστής / Καθαρίστρια)
Location: Nicosia Polyclinic, 22 Achaion Street, 1101, Nicosia, Cyprus
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient wards, operating theaters, waiting areas, and administrative offices.

Manage waste disposal, including the safe handling of medical and general waste according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team and hospital administration to address immediate cleaning requirements.

Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and inventory of cleaning supplies.

Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a cleaning role.

Excellent command of the Greek language. A good working knowledge of the English language is also required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A professional behavior, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
Desirable Qualifications:

Prior cleaning experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical setting.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work shifts.
